First off, congratulations to the new President-Elect, Barack Obama – the first black President of the United States. Many people even twenty years ago could never have imagined this day, let alone forty or sixty years ago.
I’ll admit it that I’m not a fan[atic] of Obama, nor do I support many of his views and policies. His stance on abortion is appalling, and his economic policies quite misguided as to how the free-market economy works. I also find his foreign policies naive and even dangerous – America’s enemies do not want to talk or compromise, they want to see us defeated.
But nonetheless, congratulations to our new President.
The last “racial-barrier” in this country has been removed. Perhaps now the African-American community will cast aside it’s “victim” mentality, rebuild their families, and help us move the country ahead.
